Arco, Lago di Garda, Itay

Monday October 4, 2010 (Arco)–Tomorrow starts a weeklong journey through northern Italy’s eastern lake district, high mountains, and Dolomites. It’s currently raining here in Arco, northern Lago di Garda’s medieval post with expansive views and towering rock walls, but we are in Italy and well-equipped with our Rapha & Capo rain gear.

Here are a few early photos of our preparations for a week of riding & exploring, setting up the groundwork for another Studio Velo cycling adventure next summer. Note the photos of the pro cyclist who have stayed at our first night’s hotel; it’s exciting to think we are now among (at least in spirit) some of the famous road cyclist of the world who ride these roads day in and day out.
